High Rising Downhill Xtreme

Nestled between pine forests, fynbos and Martian like landscape, the Houwteq complex is situated 4km off the N2 just out side Grabouw.

The course is quick and fast, starting at the top riders push down a short straight into a tight right-hander. The hill banks to the left as you speed down the hill, about mid way riders will need to negotiate a hay bail chicane before the last drop which dips into the tight left-hand High Rising ...Dip aka "CARNAGE CORNER". The course is 1km long from top to bottom.



Entry fee for racing:

R350 pre paid
R400 for payment on the day
R80 for second category and R40 for additional categories.

Non racing:
R100 per day

Classes:

Street Luge, Classic Luge and Downhill Skateboard will be offered. Awards will be given to the top four finishers in each category.

Technical Inspection:

All racing vehicles and safety equipment will be subject to a strict technical inspection before being allowed on the race course. Complete rules and regulations are available at IGSA.

Indemnity Forms:

All riders must fill out a indemnity form before been allowed to race. Entrants under the age of 18 require a signature from parent or legal guardian.

10.00 – 13.00 practice runs

13.00 – 14.00 lunch break

14.00 – 17.00 time trials

Sunday:

9.00 – 13.00 practice runs

13.00 – 14.00 lunch break

14.00 – 17.00 racing

17.30 prize-giving
