High Rising Downhill Xtreme

Nestled between pine forests, fynbos and Martian like landscape, the Houwteq complex is situated 4km off the N2 just out side Grabouw.

The course is quick and fast, starting at the top riders push down a short straight into a tight right-hander. The hill banks to the left as you speed down the hill, about mid way riders will need to negotiate a hay bail chicane before the last drop which dips into the tight left-hand High Rising ...Dip aka "CARNAGE CORNER". The course is 1km long from top to bottom.

Long Distance Skaters Make the News in Cape Town

Tuesday 1 February 2011 saw the launch of the first official non-motorised transport (NMT) lanes of the new MyCiTi transport system in Cape Town. Among the 300 commuters who gathered at 6am for the brief celebration and fun 8km ride were longboard skaters Justin Boast, Anton Pratt, Terry Terblanche and Richard Ward.
